Prior to attending tryouts, all athletes MUST have an updated physical for the 2022-2023 school year. Tryout Clinic ● Monday, July 11 2022 4:30-6:00 pm ● Tuesday, July 12 2022 4:30-6:00 pm ● Wednesday, July 13 2022 4:30-6:00 pm Tryouts ● Thursday, July 14 2022 4:30-6:00 pm What if I’m out of town for tryouts? ● A virtual option will be available! ● Music and choreography will be provided on Monday, July 11 via email. ● Record your tryout and submit it to by Thursday, July 14 at 6:00pm. Team Placement Sideline placement will be announced on Friday, July 14 2022. Competition placement will be announced on Thursday, August 4 2022. Parent Orientation Parent Orientation will be Monday, July 18 2022 at 6:00 pm at FCHS. General Expectations ● Cheerleading is a team sport. All members must be at all practices. ● If you are involved in other extra curricular activities, you must notify your coach. If the activities conflict with the cheer schedule, you will have to choose one. ● Commitment is for Fall and Winter: July 2022-March 2023 Sideline Cheer (JV and Varsity) ● Summer workouts will be Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30-6:30 pm ● Summer workouts begin Tuesday, July 19 2022 ● Fall practices will be Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00-6:00 pm ● All JV cheerleaders must attend all JV football games, both home and away. ● All Varsity cheerleaders must attend all Varsity football games, both home and away. ● Cheerleaders are expected to cheer at both girls and boys basketball games in the winter. No away games. Competition Cheer ● Competition team placements will be announced Thursday, August 4 2022 ● Practices are on Mondays 4:00-6:00 pm ○ This is in addition to sideline practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays ● Practices begin Monday, August 8 2022 ● Expect to attend two to three competitions in the fall of 2022 ● Note: Placement on the competition team is up to coaches’ discretion and may not be permanent. Previous participation on the competition team does not guarantee a spot for this season. Financial information Fundraising opportunities will be provided to offset the cost of expenses. Sideline (JV and Varsity) ● Uniforms are provided to the athletes and must be returned at the end of the Winter 2023 season. ● Below is not an exhaustive list, but we will try to minimize additional costs. ● Expenses will include the following: ○ Practice uniforms - $50 ○ Cheer shoes - $50 ○ Warm-up - $95 ○ Rain jacket - $30 ○ Body liner - $90 ○ Bows - $45 ○ Poms - $15 Competition ● In addition to the above fees for Sideline cheer ● Competition fees - up to $100 ● Music - $40
